Aspect Developments is anticipating a positive planning decision for a new purpose-built Co-op convenience store in Whitland, Carmarthenshire, as the scheme progresses towards the next stage of development.
The proposal will see the relocation of Whitland’s existing Co-op store to a new, larger premises designed specifically to meet the needs of modern convenience retail. The new store will benefit from dedicated on-site parking and a purpose-built delivery bay, addressing two of the key operational limitations of the current location.
The development represents a significant upgrade in retail provision for the town, providing local residents with an improved shopping experience in a facility built to contemporary standards. For Co-op Group Ltd, the move will enable the store to serve the Whitland community more effectively, with better access and greater capacity than the existing premises allow.
The scheme is the latest in Aspect Developments’ continuing programme of convenience store developments for the Co-operative Group, reinforcing the company’s well-established expertise in delivering retail schemes for Co-op across Wales.
