Aspect Developments has prepared scheme drawings for a mixed-use redevelopment of a brownfield site on Sanatorium Road in the Canton area of Cardiff.
The proposed scheme will see the site brought back into productive use with a 420m² Co-op convenience store anchoring the ground floor, alongside an additional 100m² retail unit available for a further occupier. The inclusion of Co-op as the anchor tenant continues Aspect Developments’ established track record of delivering convenience store developments for the Co-operative Group across Wales.
To the first and second floors, the scheme provides for 16 one-bedroom apartments, which will be developed on behalf of a local community Housing Association, contributing to the supply of much-needed affordable housing in the Welsh capital.
The Canton location on Sanatorium Road offers strong footfall potential and good transport links, making it well suited to a convenience-led retail and residential scheme of this nature.
